It's reported that Korean domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) producers' sales volumes increased substantially in October.
The three major HRC producers Posco, Hyundai Steel and Dongkuk Steel sold 1.455 million tons of HRC in October, rising by 7.2% year on year.
In October, Posco's HRC domestic sales volumes increased by 20% but exports dropped by 37.5%, both compared to the figures in the same month of 2012. The total shipments decreased by 7.5% from September but rose by 3.3% from a month ago
Hyundai Steel's HRC domestic sales volumes rose by 28.1% from a month ago and increased by 25.6% year on year in October. However, its exports decreased by 12.7% year on year. The total sales increased by 18.1% year on to reach 758,000 tons.
